Research experience
- Spatiotemporal Memory and Intelligence in LLMs, 2025 – present
- Supervisors: Prof. Liqiu Meng, Dr. Peng Luo
- Lost in Aggregation: a multi-scale diagnostic benchmark that localizes where LLMs get lost in spatial navigation, separating Fine (local passability), Meso (junction topology) and Macro (global goal direction) reasoning across 1,050 annotated mazes; also compares multimodal location inputs (image, coordinate, text, map) and proposes a hierarchical planning framework to improve performance.
- LLM-MapRepair: a framework for LLM agents to incrementally build and repair navigation graphs, keeping spatial memory coherent through version-controlled edits and impact-based corrections.
- Hiking Behavior Patterns, 2024 – present
- Supervisors: Prof. Liqiu Meng, Dr. Peng Luo
- Developing a dataset from user-generated GPS, imagery and textual data to model hiking patterns and assess ecological footprints for sustainability research.
- Map Retrieval Intention Recognition, 2021 – 2024
- Supervisors: Prof. Jianya Gong, Prof. Zhipeng Gui
- Drawing on user relevance feedback and geographic semantic guidance to improve retrieval accuracy and support the discovery of online geographic resources in an intention-driven way; hypergraph segmentation was employed to optimize the approach.
- OGC WMS Discovery Portal (2021 – 2023): a web-based retrieval system for online geographic resources, supporting multimodal search and query of Web Map Services.
- Spatial Analysis of COVID-19, 2019 – 2021
- Supervisor: Prof. Gang Xu
- Quantified the spatial distribution patterns of COVID-19 cases in Wuhan from social media (Weibo) data, and analysed associations between case distribution and environmental factors.
